Anna G. Johnson

COTEAU -- Anna Glad Johnson, 84, died at her rural Coteau home Monday after an illness of 18 months.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m.  Thursday from the Niobe Baptist church.  Rev. James A. Bell will officiate and burial will be in the Little Butte cemetery in near Coteau.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Johnson, and six children, Mrs. Anna McLaughlin, Minneapolis, Minn,; Victor Bodeen, Jamestown; Mrs. Myrtle Nevin, Minneapolis; Mrs. Albin Peterson, Coteau; Mrs. Philip Fender, Coteau; Emil Johnson, Coteau.  One sister, Mrs. Lena Erickson, Billings, Mont., also survives.

Mrs. Johnson was born June 1, 1868, at Gagnef, Sweden and in 1886 she was married to Andrew Bodeen.  She came to the United States in 1888 and spent 7 years in Minnesota before coming to the Coteau community.

She was married to Charles Johnson in 1904 at Coteau.

Active pallbearers will be Aden Nelson, Jens Hansen, Philip Fender, Harry Harloldson and Pete Hanson.

Honorary pallbearers are Joe Wallen, Charles Eckberg, Louis Sundin, L.N. Peterson, Mike Mertes. G. K. Melby. Tom Thompson and Carl Melby.

Ringen Funeral home, Kenmare, is in charge of arrangements.
