Cynthia J. Messmer, 56, of Hamilton, Died Tuesday, June 27, 1995, in Missoula at St. Patrick Hospital.

She was born May 21, 1939, in Choteau, the daughter of Walter and Lucy Brown Bodeen, and was raised and educated in Montana.

Most of her working life was spent as a nurse's aide working in nursing homes throughout Montana and in Jamestown, N.D.  At the time of her deather, she was employed at Discovery Care Center in Hamilton.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Harry and Jolene Dodd of Ashley, N.D.; a daughter and son-in-law, Toni and Robert Brown, of Wichita Falls, Texas; her mother, Lucy Simpson, of Corvallis; six brothers, Ronald Bodeen, of Portland Ore., Westley Bodeen, of Columbia Falls, Rodney Bodeen, of Hamilton, Ray Bodeen, of Victor, Russell Bodeen, of Bath, Maine, and Roy Bodeen of Corvallis; six sisters, Robyn Connor, of Helena, Ruby Jackson and Ruth Marvin, both of Hamilton, Trudy Foltz, of Missoula, Sandra Brown, of Anchorage, Alaska, Rose Malloy, of Corvallis; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father and one brother.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday at the Riverview Cemetery in Hamilton. Arrangements are under the direction of the Daly-Leach Chapel in Hamilton.
